Meridian's Ministry of Cannabis

Have you read about the recent case of a Meridian man being arrested for belonging to the THC Ministry based out of Hawaii? THC as in Cannabis, Mary Jane, Weed etc. http://www.kivitv.com/Global/story.asp?s=8333738 It appears that the Rev. Shawn Fluewelling of Meridian is using the Freedom of Religion defense and it just might work. Ada county prosecuters have asked for more time, ostensibly because they haven’t yet figured out how to prove a negative – that the THC Ministry is NOT a religion and the Rev. Fluewelling is simply getting high for pleasure and not spiritual enlightenment. There is lots of precedent for herbs as spiritual aids, and personally I’m rooting for Shawn and all of you out there who find a little bit of god in the green herb.

Time to Break Up?

I was recently speaking with a neighbor who had a family member get married at the barn over the weekend. I was thinking what a nice place to get married and politely asked a follow up question regarding the happy couple. This is the story he gave me: Boy and girl had a fight in the Walmart parking lot 4 weeks ago. Girl hopped in their truck, boy chased after her and girl accidentally hit him with the truck. This apparently struck her as a brilliant move, because she then began chasing boy and hit him 2 more times. One of the Walmart shoppers called 911 and girl was arrested. Girl spent a few days in jail and is currently waiting for her court date to arrive.

In the meantime boy and girl decided it would be a good choice to get married.

Carbon Credits & Weightloss

I think this Carbon Credit scheme is brilliant except I would like to apply it to weightloss. Anyone out there want to continue eating 3500 calories a day guilt free? You could offset 1000 of those calories by paying me a large amount of money to cut my calorie intake, thereby rendering you calorie nuetral. Any takers?
